Herman Cain Denies Reports of Past Sexual Harassment Behavior

Herman CainHerman Cain Denies Reports of  Past Sexual Harassment Behavior

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain's campaign is denying allegations that he was twice accused of sexual harassment while he was the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s.

In a statement Sunday to The Associated Press, his campaign disputed a Politico report that said Cain had been accused of sexually suggestive behavior toward at least two female employees.

The report said the women signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them five-figure financial payouts to leave the association and barred them from discussing their departures. Neither woman was identified.

The report was based on anonymous sources and, in one case, what the publication said was a review of documentation that described the allegations and the resolution.

Cain's campaign told the AP that the allegations were not true, and amounted to unfair attacks. (Continue reading this story).

Is it possible that co-candidates and/or the opposition is getting so terrified of Herman Cain that they had to dig up something obscure and blow it out of proportion just to tarnish Cain's character, or did Cain really do something in his past that he should take responsibility for so we don't end up with a repeat of the Clinton days in office? Either way Cain might be looking at some real trouble with this accusation.

In my opinion, the biggest strike Herman Cain had against him moving forward was his ties to the Federal Reserve. He amplified that relationship with his reluctance to support an audit of the Fed and his answer in a debate suggesting that Alan Greenspan was a trustworthy choice to fix the problems within the Fed in today's economy. Obviously unprepared and forced to answer on the spot it would be nice to see how he felt about the situation after he put some real time and thought behind answering the question. Now with this new information about Cain's personal misdeeds his relationship with the Federal Reserve is sure to be swept out of the lime-light.

In reality these charges could be a whole host of things, ranging from fairly innocent to grossly obscene. We may never really know for sure. People should remember that their are scammers out there looking to make a dime and these accusations might have been false to begin with just to obtain a big pay day. If there was anything incriminating here I don't think that a man like Herman Cain would have made the choice to run for President in the first place. He is smart enough to know that his history, including these allegations, will be seen and scrutinized by every political pundit and journalist all over the world. If there was anything to find, Cain would have never thrown his hat in the ring.

Next story please.
